Thank You Lord for making a woman and not a man (she laugh) Praise be your Name on high. who is like unto Thee, Lord there is none like Thee, there is none like Thee.

Beloved, I am so glad that God made a woman, yesterday was the Mother’s Day celebration in my local church and in so many other churches too, Our theme for this year Mother’s Day is the “The Beauty of a Godly Mother” and I will be sharing with you some of the qualities of Godly Mother or call it a profile of a godly mother, some examples of a Godly Mother and the rewards of a Godly Mother.
Whenever they talk about a woman in the bible, Prov. 31 – the Virtuous woman readily comes to mind. But beyond that are also other books of the bible that talk about the roles of woman, such like Peter, Ephesians, Timothy.
Our theme text was taken from 1 Pet 3:1-4. The topic is “The Beauty of a Godly Woman.” I will be sharing with you the things I pen down and I am sure you will grip one or two things from it and add to your knowledge.
What makes a woman beautiful-
First her conduct, we have inner and outward beauty, which is well explained by our team text. Secondly Christ-like appearance – a godly woman should adorn her heart to be Christ-like and not otherwise 1 Tim 2:9. Thirdly, modesty- a godly woman must adopt moderation as a lifestyle (1 Pet 3:3-4, Phil 4:5).
Profile of a Godly Mother- she posses a gentle and meek Spirit. She delights herself in abundance of peace. 1Pet 3:6. She is submissive – a godly woman is to be submissive to her own husband. Though some men are very difficult to please and in some cases you may find it very difficult to submit to such men but the truth is that when you submit to such a man you are actually submitting to God because this is a command Eph 5:22-24. She fears God prov. 30:31
She is kind- hearted Prov 31:18, 11:16. She possess good discretions. She is enterprising and she is prayerful. Lk 18:1. Examples of godly women Sarah, Rebecca, Hannah, Ruth, Esther, Deborah, Elizabeth and Mary
Rewards of a godly mother- Her children will her blessed, She is the Praise of her husband; She will be Praise by God (Prov 31:28, 30, 3Jn 1:4.
Beloved, it was mother’s day yesterday but from the content of all that were listed above how far are you doing? Can it be said that you are a godly woman? May God help us not to be women of easy virtue but women that fears the Lord (Prov 9). May God help us to be accountable of the children He committed into our hands in Jesus Name.
Jesus is perfect example to follow, likewise mother be yea perfect example for your children to emulate. Point them to Christ and you will have the reward of a godly mother. Come to discover more:

The Divine Example
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing.”—Luke 23:34
We can only ask God to forgive us our sins when we are willing to forgive those who have sinned against us.
Does this mean that before we can be converted to Christ and have our sins forgiven, we have to search our hearts in order to make sure that we hold no bitterness or resentment against anyone? No. There is nothing in the Scripture that states that a non-Christian receives forgiveness from God on the basis of claiming to forgive everyone else. Jesus is referring here, so I believe, to those who are already His followers. They have been forgiven for their sins, but they now need a principle by which they can deal with guilt that arises, subsequent to conversion, through the violation of some biblical standard. Paul says in Ephesians 1:7: “We have redemption in Him through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.” Grace—that’s the basis of our forgiveness when we first come to Christ. But although we have received that forgiveness, we can never enjoy freedom from defilement in our Christian walk unless we are ready to extend the forgiveness God has given us to those who have hurt us.
This is an extremely important issue, for if we fail to forgive those who have offended us, we break the bridge over which God’s forgiveness flows into us.
Prayer
Blessed Lord Jesus, You who hung upon a cross, tortured in every nerve, yet prayed, “Father, forgive them,” help me this day to forgive all those who have wronged me in a lesser way. For Your own dear name’s sake. Amen.
